The National Honor Society annually sponsors a Vitalant Blood Drive. It is happening Tuesday, March 24 from 12:00-6:00pm at Griggs County Central. NHS members will be calling past donors to make appointments. 38 students have already joined our school’s team. Mrs. Briss' Kindergarten class is in the lead with 8 students registered online, but Mrs. Dahl’s 2nd grade class leads for dollars raised. Way to go!

Reminder that tomorrow 3/5 is the Elementary Family Night from 5:30-7:30pm. Family Engagement Night events will include supper, family activities, 4th grade wax museum, 5th grade musical, and more. The book fair will be open today from 7:45am to 7:30pm and wrap-up Friday at 4:00pm. GCC Preschool families are also welcome to attend. Congratulations to the 17 GCC Music students who participated in the Enderlin Young Musician Festival on February 28, 2026. The 17 Music students participated in 19 performances. The Students goal is to receive a ‘Star’ for their performance. GCC was awarded 4 Excellent, 14 Stars with 1 exceptional performance receiving an Outstanding.

Good Luck to the Boys Basketball Team on their District 3 Tournament game against Cavalier today in Larimore starting at 3pm. The bus will depart GCC at 1:15pm.

Griggs County Central Robotics!!
In our debut season, all GCC teams qualified for state! They had an up and down season finishing strong at state with a 7th place (Orioles) and 9th place (Vipers) finish. It was a great learning year and we hope to come back stronger than ever next year! Thanks to Advisor Annette Beattie and to the parents for all their support!! And to the students for all their hard work!!

Tomorrow at 1:30, the Titan Girls Basketball Team will depart from GCC for the state play-in game. An escort will be provided by the Sheriff's Office, Fire Department, and Ambulance. The public is invited to join in sending off the team. We are extremely proud of the team's achievements!! Go Titans!!! We will meet at 1:15 at the school.

We have some fun activities for Kindergarten to 5th grades planned for Reading Month starting next week!  The GCC Book Fair Kick-Off Breakfast will be on Monday, March 2 from 7:30 to 8:25am. The book fair will run all week. Family Engagement Night events will be Thursday, March 5 and will include supper, family activities, 4th grade wax museum, 5th grade musical, and more.  Please RSVP to let us know how many in your family will be attending the meals at https://griggscountycentral.org/forms/reading-month-event-sign-up so we can plan food by end of day Saturday, February 28.

We had a blast kicking off this year’s Kids Heart Challenge at Griggs County Central Today!

With help from this year’s Heart Heroes, we’re learning all about keeping our hearts healthy through movement, kindness, rest, and knowing when to ask for help.

The District 3 Boys Basketball Tournament kicks-off tomorrow, Friday, February 27 at Larimore High School. The Titans will play Midway-Minto at 3:00pm. Admission is $10 for Adults and $5 for Students. Good Luck to the Girls Basketball team today 2/26 at 5:30 in Larimore in the final round of the Region 2B Tournament as they battle Hatton/Northwood for 3rd place and a chance at the State Qualifier Game at Mayville State on Saturday 2/28.

March is almost here! We will be celebrating Reading Month with some fun events. The Adventure Awaits Book Fair will run March 2 through the 6th in the GCC Library.

Monday 3/2 is Mismatch Monday so wear clothing that doesn't match when you come to the Reading Month Kick-off Breakfast from 7:30-8:25am and shop the Book Fair from 7:30am-5:30pm.

Tuesday 3/3 & Wednesday 3/4 the Book Fair will be open from 7:45am to 5:30pm.

Thursday 3/5 is the K-5 Family Night from 5:30-7:30pm. Supper will be served from 5:30-6:30pm. The 4th grade will be putting on a Wax Museum from 5:30-6:30pm. The 5th grade will be putting on the "Theodore Roosevelt: A Life of Grit and Greatness" Musical. The 7-12 Choir will be sharing a couple songs as well at 7:15pm. The Book Fair will be open from 7:45am-7:30pm.

Friday 3/6 is dress in Red, White and Blue Day and the final chance to shop the Book Fair from 7:45am-4:00pm.

Friday 3/13 is wear a Shirt with Words Day.

Thursday 3/19 is wear your favorite North Dakota team attire Day.

Friday 3/27 is wear your Pajamas Day.

Hunter Safety Class will be offered by Mr. Jay Grover on March 2, 3, 4, 9, 10, & 11 from 3:05-5:30. Students must turn at least 11 years of age in 2026 to participate. Class attendance is mandatory. Congratulations to the Girls Basketball team on their win over North Prairie last night at the Regional tournament! The girls will play Benson County tonight 2/24 in the second game at approximately 7:00pm.
