There are a total of 6 no cost Gearing Up for Kindergarten sessions open to all children who will be be eligible for Kindergarten (turn 5 by August 1st) at GCC for the 22-23 school year & their parents. Free onsite childcare for siblings is available if needed. Kindergarten Screening will take place on Wednesday, March 23rd. Choose a 9-11am session or a 1-3pm session (limited openings/session).

We were able to add two quarters of C-squad BBB to our round of games on Tuesday, Feb 15th , vs Langdon Area! That day we will have 7th, 8th, 2Q C, JV,V starting at 3:30pm at MES (Binford). This evening is also 9-12th grade parents' night and senior night!
Congratulations to the 12 FCCLA students that competed at districts on Wednesday! The FCCLA students who earned a gold medal (highest honor) at the competition are Zoey Zaun, Tashina Zaun, and Kensington Tafelmeyer. Seven students qualified for state competition: Kelsey Brown, Logan Cross-Flatt, Urben Dramstad, Kensington Tafelmeyer, Chloe Vincent, Tashina Zaun, and Zoey Zaun.

The 7th and 8th GBB games scheduled for today, Tuesday, February 8th, vs Nelson County at McVille have been CANCELED and will not be rescheduled. The opposing school has canceled all afternoon activities due to road conditions. Please turn your uniforms in to the main office. JH GBB will not have practice.

Good Luck to the following teams today (2/7) on their games. 7 & 8 Boys Bball teams will begin at 5:00pm in Carrington. JV & Varsity Girls will take on Harvey/Wells County in Fessenden starting at 6:00pm. C-squad Boys will travel to Devils Lake for a 6:15pm start time. A bus will leave GCC at 3:30pm to Glenfield where they will split to the appropriate buses.

Today's Girls Basketball Games in Oak Grove have been adjusted as follows: The C squad game set for 11:00am is canceled. The JV game will start at 12:00pm.
To allow additional travel time to the GBB contests at Oak Grove on Saturday, February 5th, Leave times are MHS 7:30am and GCC 8:00am.
Out of concern for safety of athletes and fans given current traveling conditions, there will be no games tonight, Friday, February 4th, in Edinburg. The 7,8,C games versus DVE are CANCELED for tonight and will not be rescheduled. Practices will be as follows:

FFA has some fun things happening the month of February. FFA Week is February 22nd - 25th. The FFA Students have organized dress-up days, activities, and a Pancake Breakfast for the public in appreciation of our local farmers. This week kicked off the KISS THE PIG competition. Mrs. Ressler, Mrs. Harris, Mr. Grover, Ms. Rosin, & Ms. Withee have volunteered to compete! Students can bring coin or cash to fill the jar of the teacher they want to see Kiss the Pig! The teacher with the most cash by the end of the day Feb 24th will be kissing the pig on February 25th during Ag Olympics.
UPDATED BBB LEAVE TIME: Good Luck to the 7,8, JV, & Varsity Boys Basketball Team as they travel to May-Port today 2/3. Games will begin at 4pm. THE BUS WILL DEPART GCC at 2:15pm. Also good luck to the Girls JV & Varsity Basketball Teams on their rescheduled game against E/K/M in Glenfield today. The C-squad game has been cancelled. The JV game will begin at 4:30pm followed by Varsity at 6:00pm. The bus will depart GCC at 3:30pm.
Both Boys and Girls HS Basketball practice will be at GCC today (2/2) from 4-6pm. Practice is not mandatory for Midkota students as they did not have school today. There will be NO optional JH Basketball practice today.
Griggs County Central School and busses will be one hour late tomorrow, Wednesday, February 2nd. There will be no breakfast, but there will be GST preschool. A reminder that with the cold weather it is required that students riding buses to and from school and activities need to have warm clothing such as coats, hats, gloves, snow pants and boots.
The C, JV, & Varsity Girls Basketball games against E/K/M for tonight 2/1 have been POSTPONED to Thursday, 2/3.
