In response to new legislation, Griggs County Central recently updated our policies on devices for students. Our goal is to use this as an opportunity to shift the culture around student device use and boost engagement in learning.

Be sure to read over the letter from the Administration for details about device policies in the back-to-school mailer coming this week; watch for a 6x9 tan envelope from GCC.

Here is some important dates and reminders for the upcoming Titans sports seasons. Remember that Sports Physicals must be completed before your athlete can begin practice. The Sports Physical Form can be found at https://5il.co/v9tc or in the school foyer. DRMC's Annual Sports Physical Clinic will be held July 22-25 from 9am-5pm for $25 or call 701-786-1700 to schedule an appointment to be covered with insurance. Concussion Baseline Testing is required every 2 years. All 5th, 7th, 9th, & 11th graders (or if not completed last year) will need to have testing completed . Dates for testing are August 4th from 7:30-10:30am at GCC or 8-11am at Midkota HS; August 5th from 8-11am at Midkota HS or 3-5pm at GCC. The Sports Kick-Off Event will be on August 5th at 6pm at GCC for all 7-12th grade Titan Athletes, Parents, and Coaches. Fall Sports Start Dates: Girls Golf-8/4, Football-8/7, XC-8/11, Volleyball-8/18, Elem Girls Basketball-8/21. The Physical Form, G-M Medical Release & Guidelines Forms, Concussion Sign & Symptoms Form, and Student Driving Consent Form are available at Documents | Griggs County Central School District or will be available at the Sports Kick-Off Event.
