Griggs County Central School will be dismissing at 12:30pm today, Tuesday, December 9. Busses will depart at 12:40pm. If you would like your out-of-town students to be dismissed before that, please contact the school office. All after-school activities are cancelled. GCC school and busses will also have a two hour late start tomorrow, Wednesday, December 10. There will be no breakfast service tomorrow. Classes will begin at 10:30am.
Tonight's Girls Basketball game against BCN has been Postponed. The game has been rescheduled to January 23 at 5pm. The girls will play 2 quarters of C squad and then a JV game. There will not be JH games that day.
The School Board Meeting scheduled for Tuesday, December 9th has been reschedule to Thursday, December 11th at 7:00am. Any weather related announcements regarding school delays or cancellations will be decided by 6am tomorrow and sent out via instant alert, on our website and Facebook, and on KVLY.

This year's featured homes are Larry & Karen Ressler, Mark & Sarah Ressler, Gerri Kaar, & Emma Faul. The addresses for the homes are listed on the tickets. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased in advance at Bravera Bank or at the homes the night of the event.

Gymnastics begins today, Wednesday, December 3 at GCC and runs December 10 & 17th. Cost is $10. The Advanced Group (does good cartwheel & backroll) is from 3:15 to 3:45pm. The Intermediate Group (cannot do a good cartwheel & backroll) is from 3:45 to 4:15pm. The Beginner Group (ages 2 and up) is from 4:15 to 4:35pm. The gymnasts will perform at the Girls Basketball game during halftime of JV and Varsity on December 19th. Any questions, contact Nancy Paintner at 789-0109. Good Luck to the Girls Varsity Basketball Team at the Lake Region Invitational Girls Basketball Tournament on December 4, 5, & 6th at the Devils Lake High School. The Titans will play Game 2 against Devils Lake JV 20 minutes after game 1 ends (approximately 4:20pm) in the first Round of the tournament on Thursday. The top team in each bracket is the Home Team and should wear white uniforms.

Stri-King Lanes in Hannaford is offering a Youth Bowling League again this year! Beginning Sunday, January 4 for ages 7 to 18 (as of 8/1/25). League will take place every Sunday in shifts from 1 to 3pm and will run through April. Cost will be $10 per week per child plus a one-time fee of $4 for a USBC membership. Several high school band and choir members participated in the 2025 Barnes County Music Festival. It was a great day to connect with band and choir members from 10 local schools. Thank you GCC Archery coaches for coming to GCC for PE class this fall to introduce 3rd & 4th graders to the sport of Archery. The kids had a great time!
GCC Archery Information sheets were sent home with 3rd-6th this week or sheets for HS are available in the entry in a folder labeled Archery. Paperwork and fees are due on the 1st night your child comes to practice.
Practice will be starting this coming Sunday, November 23rd at 1:00 in Hannaford at the Mercantile. This practice will be for 3rd - 5th graders only or older students new to the program. We ask that students sign up for a time. Spots are limited so get signed up soon!
Practice for everyone else will start Sunday, November 30th at 1:00 at the Hannaford Mercantile.

Girls Basketball Practice Starts today. High School will be in the GCC Main Gym and Junior High will be in the GCC Multipurpose Gym. The girls Varsity & JV teams will take part in the Kidder County Scrimmage Day on Saturday, November 22 in Steele. Sessions will begin at 10am. GCC will take on New Salem/Almont in Session 2 and Kidder County in Session 3. All Sessions are 2 quarters of Varsity followed by 2 quarters of JV. Concessions will be available.
