Join us for the GCC 6-12 High School Spring Music Concert on Thursday, May 1st at 7pm. 6-8 students need to arrive by 6:45pm and 9-12 arrive by 7pm. Dress attire for performers is Spring colors in collard shirt and dress pants or dresses/skirts.

Check out the Kramer Skills Academy. They are looking for studenst 2nd to 12th grade interested in working on their basketball skills during the summer. They are based out of Carrington. Jamison Kramer, former basketball player at BSC & MSU along with other knowledgeable players will be offering a 2 day a week clinic and individual workouts. The High School Track Meet in Valley City today has been moved up to start at 2:30pm today so the bus will leave GCC at 12:30pm.
The Junior High Track meet for Thursday, April 24 has been changed to Hillsboro starting at 3pm. The bus will depart GCC at 1pm.

Mark your calendars for the GCC Elementary Track & Field Day for Kindergarten through 6th grades on Thursday, May 8. The main events will begin at Noon (grades will run the 400M beginning at 8:45am with a break for classes and lunch). Students should bring weather-appropriate athletic clothing, appropriate running shoes, water bottles, sunscreen and hat. Spectators are welcome but for your and the students safety please remain a respectful/safe distance from competitions and no pets are allowed. FBLA will be selling snow cones! GCC Fourth Graders were treated to a class from The NDSU Musical Theatre Ensemble. The theatre ensemble performed a musical dance to "We Don't Talk About Bruno". The fourth-grade class was taught the same performance. Everyone had a great time. We want to thank Mara Campbell for bringing her Musical Theatre Ensemble Class to GCC.

Congratulations to Max and Scarlett Ludwig for receiving 1st place in Serious Duo and Max for receiving 2nd place in Impromptu at the Region 5 Competition on Saturday April 12th. They will advance to the State Speech Meet on April 26th at Mandan High School. Also receiving awards were Joel Brown 4th, Briley Monson 5th, and Paul Johnson 6th in Humorous. Briley also received 4th in Inform. Victor Ludwig received 4th in Storytelling and Humorous Duo along with Scarlett.

Congratulations to the High School Band members on their performances at the Regional Small Group in Jamestown on Wednesday, 4/9/25. All players received an Excellent Performance rating. Great job to all!

Applications for the Mayflower Lodge #94 Scholarship Program in the amount of $500 are due to Mrs. Brandt by April 22, 2025.
The Griggs County Central Education Association is offering two GCC Seniors, planning to attend a 2-year tech program, a $1000 scholarship each to help further their education. The Griggs County Central Education Association is also offering one GCC senior pursuing a degree in education a $500 scholarship in honor of Bill Galloway, former GCC Superintendent. High School students (age 16 and up) are invited to Demo Day on Thursday, May 1 at the Red River Valley Fairgrounds in West Fargo, ND from 8:00am - 12:00pm CT.
Students must sign up in the office before April 22, 2025 and register at 2025 NDCLC Demo Day Fargo - May 1, 2025 to reserve your spot! If you are under the age of 18, a parent or guardian must also sign the waiver and submit it to ndclc@agcnd.org.
Students will have the opportunity to operate heavy equipment, including but not limited to: Dozers, Skid Steers, Cranes, Excavators, and more! Construction leaders will also demonstrate survey equipment and other technology utilized on today's projects.
Attendees are required to wear close toed shoes, preferably steel toe. Please wear appropriate outer attire for instances when you will be standing outside for long periods of time. Coats, hats, and gloves are recommended. Snacks and beverages will be available. Lunch will NOT be provided. In the event of inclement weather, registrants will be contacted on April 30.

Griggs-Midkota Basketball players in grades K through 12th grade (for the 25/26 school year) are invited to participate in the Love of the Game 2025 Eastern, ND Basketball Camp July 21-24. The Baseball games for this week on April 8th & April 11th have been cancelled.
The Elementary Volleyball game at BCN has been rescheduled to April 14th at 4:30pm. The bus will leave at 3:15pm.

Griggs-Midkota Basketball Awards Banquet will be Wednesday, April 23 at 6:30pm in the Midkota High School Gym.

GCC School & Buses will be 2 hours late today, Wednesday, April 2nd to allow road crews to clear roads. There will be no breakfast service.

All after school activities and the elementary after-school program are cancelled today. Please call the office with any arrangement changes for your students after-school plans. Buses will run as usual.

The Elementary Volleyball game scheduled for tonight 4/1 at BCN has been cancelled due to the weather.
Also, the Baseball game scheduled for Thursday 4/3 at Nelson County has been cancelled due to field conditions after the expected snow accumulation.
Possible make-up dates will be announced once they have been scheduled.

Join us for a Night in Disguise. The GCC Prom Grand March will be held on April 5, 2025 beginning at 8:00pm in the Main Gym. Doors will open at 7:30pm

Congratulations to the 2 teams of GCC students who attended the Tech Wars competition at VCSU on March 26. Jayden Turner, Will Larson, and Ziggy Berg each walked away with a $500 scholarship to attend VCSU and a set of gaming headphones after their first place win. Hayden Schudar, Corbin Nelson, and Drake Nelson each left with a brand new mouse as they took 3rd place in the competition.
